Boys will play anywhere. With anything. At any time. We took the boys to the beach for the weekend to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of the summer. When we arrived at Marshal’s brother and sister-in-law’s house, the boys were overjoyed to discover a large pile of gravel waiting for them. They played happily for nearly an hour on Saturday afternoon after our morning walk. They started by digging a hole in the top of the pile (to make a volcano), then they started running up the pile and sliding back down, then they started flinging shovels full of gravel over their shoulders. Finally, when they got tired, they just collapsed on the pile and waited for us to walk down to the beach with them.
